For the first one i think we should go with , Top Five Ryan Adams albums, its an easy one and should get us back into the swing of things.

1. Love is Hell- Simply put, AMAZING
2. 29 - Very diffrent to everything else and although voices seems to make me think of my impending death but carolina rain is vintage stuff
3.Gold - Still seems to bring a tear to my eye a songwriting masterclass
4.Cold Roses - Very rarely do i think double albums are anything more than pomp and an ego boost but this one is full of brilliant rocky tunes
5.Strangers Almanac - I would argue this is a classic that has not quite been recognised as of yet, inn town is probably my opening song of any album

But that's actually much harder to choose if you ask me. Sessions like Suicide Handbook, Patty Duke Syndrome or A Stranger is Born/Barn's on Fire Sessions are equally good.

This is hard... here gos

1. Gold - This is the album that got me into Ryan, its always gonna be my favourite. I love it, brilliant from start to finish.

2. 29 - Such a beautiful album.

3. Heartbreaker - You can probably tell i love Ethen Johns production

4. Jacksonville City Nights - This took me a while to get into coz its quite country but i fukin love it.

5. Love Is Hell - Fucking amazing album, I like the second half more than the first, and the extra tracks from the japanese version are fukin awesome as well.

This changes all the time but here's how it generally stands:

1. Love is Hell -- I rarely listen to it in its entirety as it takes a very specific mood to inhale it all. But when you're in that very specific mood it's just totally 100% perfect.

2. Cold Roses -- Took a while to grow on me but it's basically a perfect disc from start-end. Cherry Lane and Mockingbird are enough to put it second place.

3. Gold -- the album that introduced me to Ryan and contains my all-time favourite song (When the Stars Go Blue). I find that each time I listen to Gold I find a new favourite song from it or something I've never noticed before. It sounds great on vinyl too.

3. Jacksonville City Nights -- Two words: Withering Heights. I was pretty lukewarm to JCN at first but last summer it became a total keeper.

4. Heartbreaker -- It couldn't not be there. I want Ryan to work with Ethan again soon.

5. 29 -- Has the best opening track EVER and all of the songs are like mini sweeping epic American gothic novels set to music. Blue Sky Blues is always going to be in my top 10 favourite Ryan songs.
