Middle of the road oasis to me. Liked the 1st single and everything went downhill from there. Why does everyone big up liams writing so much? He ripps everybody off bigtime! Most nosably, john Lennon (there's a suprise). Not having a rant coz I used to really like oasis a lot. But they just are not exciting anymore. Noel's great for an interview, garanteed laughter everytime. But the music just ain't all there anymore. Just shows u what a fanbase can do. But it's a shame there's is renound for being lager louts who can't bare the thought of letting go of the 90's

The album starts off quite good (Bag It Up, The Turning, The Shock of the Lightning, I'm Outta Time) and Falling Down is one of the best songs Noel has written in years. However, the end of the record divebombs, the last three being particularly bad. Soldier On is dire. Liam's one decent song an album contribution is certainly overrated, which is a shame considering the opening half of the record was the band the best they've been in a long time.

well actually..... best song on Heathen might be born on a different cloud.... or Little By Little...
and best song on Giants is probably Sunday Morning Call...

Sorry, I should've rephrased that. I'm basically saying that when Noel bigs up Liams songwriting, it's totally undeserved. One of his songs (I'm Outta Time) is good, not great, but the others are poor.

His contributions to Heathen Chemistry were good, but The Meaning of Soul and Little James are stunningly bad!

Oh lord yes he is, but those are some great songs he has written... just my opinion anyway..
