Welcome back everybody!
good to have the board back (thanks, CryOnDemand!)

Can anybody please rip this awesome song?! I love it so much. The string arrangement is wonderful.

"Don't Look Down" foggy post (http://foggy.ryan-adams.com/post/48839316/dont-look-down)

Thanks in advance.

Haha! Thanks Scott!!!

But can I please ask you all to make sure you don't post official releases, as they are easily available to purchase in the record store? Best to show our support for the artist by buying the material, etc.

Obviously, I think that live tracks, videos and unreleased material should still be allowed :)

Hi everybody! :)

I was wondering if anyone had a single file of the song "Strawberry Wine" from a Philadelphia concert in 2005 (Electric Factory was the venue, I think).....it was the one where he goes on a long rant about the sound not being right, and just before he starts to play the song, he freaks out on a fan.

I found the whole show streaming at an archive website, but can't find that particular song separately.

I appreciate any help in the matter.

Thank you.

I remember that, but I checked all the versions of Rescue Blues I have and didn't find it. Are you sure it was that song?
Also, check Bonochick's site http://come_pick_me_up.tripod.com/concerts.html#2Nov00, there's a mention of that same Kenny Chesney song there. But he talked about it on another show too, I'm sure.

Is it still too soon to ask for the newest Bedhead? I know someone at RAA asked for us not to upload it for a couple of weeks, but I think that window has passed. I really would like to have this, but I also want to honor what RAA asked for, so if it's ok I would like to request that. Plenty of thanks in advance if possible, if they would like for us to hold off on that for a while still, I understand that as well.

Bedhead are live recordings of Ryan and/or The Cardinals. RAA usually makes a series, kind of a best of the last tours. Highly recommended. If you need or want the other Bedheads let me know and I will upload or I'm sure someone else will. Just ask!

BTW, Sorry about the triple posts, I'm kinda hyped up about the new stuff/bedheads. Been waiting weeks on the Bedhead!

Just like to give a big thank you for the Strawberry Wine/Shut The Fuck Up link....it is utter genius. :D

Now, as for the whole WinRar/zip folder thing...my pesky computer will not allow me to download WinRar.

So.....does anyone have a single files for the songs A Thunderstorm Destroyed Your Trailer Park (improv), Martians From Outer Space (improv), Rip Off, Why Don't They Play All The Hits? (DJ Reggie), Disco Duck (Rick Dees), and Way To Go Brad from Bedhead VI.

Major reps & thank you's if so. :)

A Thunderstorm Destroyed Your Trailer Park

I will upload the rest as I get them....What type of computer do you have? Is it Mac or PC...If it's PC have you tried to just right click and unzip from there? Admittedly I don't remember much from windows, but on Mac you should just be able to double click and it will extract itself (I think, don't remember if I had to download a program to do this)

Thanks for your help, Degausser. :)

I just tried downloading that WinRar program again, and now it works (I guess I just had to go into Internet Options, and allow my computer to download stuff, and make certain places 'trusted sites').

Very happy about this, as I've got all these other albums, like Warren Peace, that I've yet to open or even listen to.

Here is Martians From Outer Space if you still want it or anyone else does, as I just uploaded it before I got your reply

Please do, if you don't mind....I just tried to download Bedhead VI, and while I have no problems opening up the zip folders now, it says it will take well over 30 minutes to download (and I don't even really want the whole thing, anyway).

I was almost half-way through the 30 minutes, when my internet went down, and I had to cancel it.

Thanks, again.

Here's the tracklist to the awesome disc 5 of Bedhead 6 as far as I can figure it out:

1. Hard Way To Fall
2. Twenty Nine
4. City Rain, City Streets
6. Hello Gracie
7. Ultra Violet Light
8. Caribbean Queen (Billy Ocean cover)
9. Robot Fuck
12. Everything In Its Right Place (Radiohead cover)
13. Dear John "Woody Harrelson's Larry Flynt on a Bad Trip" remix
15. Judy Garland (f/k/a She Turns It Up To Ten)
19. "We Are Harmonizing On Something" Jam
20. The Wizard (Black Sabbath cover)
22. Houses On The Hill (Whiskeytown cover )
24. Cemetery Hill

I especially love the live versions of Ultra Violet Light & Cemetery Hill from the Warren Peace - War And Peace Demos.

Check out www.archive.org. Thanks to the fantastic Tears of Gold project, its stores a massive amount of live concerts with high quality audio, dating back to 2000. Ryan even lets them soundboard (!) the gigs. Seek and ye shall find. It's a pretty big jungle out there, mama, and loads of treasures in it.
Also: audio-rips of DRAdams-recordings of "Cobwebs" and "Evergreen" has been uploaded at this forum recently (probably by Kyuss or Magnolia Mountain. I'm too lazy to check while typing this - sorry if I forgot someone - but, hey, they've done such tremendous good work, so they deserve all the credit they can get. I second the earlier posts.)

Not the correct forum - but this might be of general interest. There has been some buzz at ryanadamsarchive the last 24 HRS about this recent newsflash on British Channel 4:

"Exclusive: Ryan's new LP
Ryan Adams & The Cardinals release new album Cardinology on October 27, PS can reveal.
The follow-up to 2005's Jacksonville City Lights, it's the band's first album to be billed as just Cardinals. They tour from November 10."

Think it's legit. My BlogFoggy went down recently, and was replaced with www.cardinology.com so there's definitively something going on. /Bakamomo

The "Those Weren't The Days" Sessions
Date: 1996 ("6 months after Faithless Street" according to Ryan)
Location:
Personnel: Ryan Adams (guitar, vocals); Caitlin Cary (violin, vocals); Skillet Gilmore (drums); Steve Grothman (bass); Phil Wandscher (guitar, vocals).
Tracks: Unknown. This clearly overlaps with The Baseball Park Sessions and the Pre-Strangers Almanac Sessions, below. Songs not accounted for in those sessions include:

1. Hipshake
2. San Antone
3. New York Angel
4. Only To Lose

Notes: See Stranger's Almanac Promo.
Ryan Adams: "Plus there's another record that is called Those Weren't The Days, that's what I'm calling it now. I don't know if that will change. But when they re-issue Faithless Street, that will come as well. I don't know if it will all come on one CD or if it will come as two CDs, but it's coming out. It was done about 6 months after Faithless Street. It's fairly similar."

I'm not sure this is the place to ask, but I was wondering if you guys would happen to know the "official" track listing for Those Weren't the Days, because I have the version posted here, but I thought the actual last track was "Set Your Fires"(which I don't have) not "Dreams"(which is on the version I have, and the one posted here). Just thought I'd ask.

Also thanks so much guys for posting all this incredible stuff. Wow, you guys are awesome! I'd post if I had anything that wasn't already posted. Thanks again, I LOVE this place. :)

You don't need to feel like a mooch! I think almost everyone here was once a mooch! I know I was. All you need to do is in the future return the favor for people who are in need. This is what it says on Answeringbell.com....
The "Those Weren't The Days" Sessions
Date: 1996 ("6 months after Faithless Street" according to Ryan)

The Baseball Park Sessions
Date: 1996
Location: Captured Live! -- Durham, North Carolina
Tracks:
1. Empty Baseball Park
2. Here's To The Rest Of The World
3. 16 Days
4. Yesterday's News
5. Factory Girl

The Pre-Strangers Almanac Sessions
Date: December 1996
Location: Captured Live! -- Durham, North Carolina - Modern Recording Service -- Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Tracks:
1. Ticket Time
2. Breathe (a/k/a Believe)
3. Wither, I'm A Flower
4. Barns On Fire
5. Street With Sirens (a/k/a Things I Heard)
6. Ten Seconds To The End Of The World
7. Turn Around
8. Everything I Do
9. Losering
10. Theme For A Trucker
11. Dancing With The Women At The Bar
12. Dreams
13. My Heart Is Broken
14. Luxury Liner
15. Houses On The Hill
16. All You Can Feel
17. Further Down The Road (a/k/a Indian Gown)
18. Kiss & Make Up
19. The Rain Won't Help You When It's Over
20. Busted

OR....

Captain's dead reports the tracklists for Cardinology - did anyone manage to get an audiorip of "Like Yesterday" before it was removed from YouTube? (October the 27th's gonna be so f-cking sweet.)

1. Born into a Light
2. Go Easy
3. Fix It
4. Magick
5. Cobwebs
6. Let Us Down Easy
7. Crossed Out Name
8. Natural Ghost
9. Sink Ships
10. Evergreen
11. Like Yesterday
12. Stop
13. My Heart Will Go On (Celine Dion cover) [just kidding ...]

Hey everybody!

OK, so the tracklist for Cardinology just came out, and I noticed something interesting. "Born Into the Light" was on one of Ryan's Youtube videos a long time ago (dont remember which one).... and it was never really labeled, but I recognized the phrase "we were born into a light" and it's a really pretty song!

Born Into The Light (http://www.sendspace.com/file/8tz8nl)

Yeah, it cuts off after like 1:15 cause it did on the video, but at least it's something! All you guys are so awesome, just wanted to throw something out there too!

very interesting that you posted that mp3! thank you a lot for that.
but strange that Ryan labeled the song "Evergreen" in the video,
look for yourself:
RAA-video/"born into a light"-song (http://www.sendspace.com/file/sadnd2)

I mean, on the tracklist for Cardinology is Evergreen AND Born Into A Light listed. Perhaps they used the title Evergreen for another song ... don't know, but I know that we perhaps just have to wait to find out. ;)

My bet is that Foggy was confused (been known to happen). "Evergreen" can't possibly be anything else than the Neil Youngihs song with the "Evergreen"-chorus. He's even played it live with that name. If I have any theories, it's that "Born into the Light" could also be the song we posted here as "Goodbye Sunshine". It's a lot of "lights" in those verses ... and it wouldn't be the first time Ryan changed a title ("Nighttime Girls" was one). Not that bloody likely, but it's such a fantastic song. In my book it might be one of his top ten slow ones, so I keep my fingers crossed anyway.

The 'born into the light' scrap that was posted is not the same as the 'goodbye sunshine' that was briefly posted on foggy (that was a lovely song i hope shows up somewhere someday). Evergreen turned up as a chorus and not too much more on a couple of videos, i can't offhand remember which (and i'm at work so i can't research it much) maybe someone else remembers which, but again, another song--'evergreen, lay down beside me, evergreen...'
They played it at the Fillmore. I liked it a lot, there. I think there's a video of it from the Fillmore on youtube.

:D Yeah I think the quality is ok too and it's one of my favourites but I ripped only 5 songs (stupid me ) about a year ago and stumbled over them today. The quality is much better. I will post them tomorrow if nobody else has a good recording of the complete Ghetto Birds - The Dunes.

Hey, thanks to you all, I think it's amazing that everyone is so willing to share here.

A few missing from my collection if anyone has them are:

DJ Reggie – Song Destroyer
Cardinal Shits - You are the Audience
Rhoda Ro - Khaki Time Portal

Also I was thinking if it would be possible to compile a list of videos that were from Horizon74 and Foggy then it would be good because people would be able to see what they had missing from there collection and could request it. I would be willing to help with this if anyone else thinks it is a good idea?

Thanks again.
